Why should we not use incandescent light bulbs?

Incandescent lights have the worst energy efficiency on the market. incandescent lamps have efficiency ratings around 10 lumens/watt. Unfortunately most of the energy they consume (~90%) goes into generating heat. Incandescent lights have the worst lifespan on the market.
