Types of Florist Licenses in Louisiana
Louisiana requires individuals and businesses involved in the sale of flowers and ornamental plants to obtain the appropriate license. The three types of licenses available are:

- Cut Flower Dealer Permit: If you sell cut flowers, either singly or in bunches, you need a Cut Flower Dealer Permit.
- Wholesale Florist License: If you prepare and sell cut flowers, plant materials, and ornamental plants to retail florists and cut flower dealers, you need a Wholesale Florist License. If selling floral arrangements, you also need a Retail Florist License.

- Exam Process:
- Apply to schedule your exam with the Horticulture Commission.
- The exam is in person and can be taken at various locations across Louisiana.
- You must take the exam within 90 days of submitting your application.
- Upon receiving your application, the Horticulture Commission will call you to schedule your exam.
- Pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher.
